The sports massage is our firmest treatment. It is meant for everyone who asks a lot of their body: running, lifting, cycling, climbing, or a job where you stand and carry all day. Instead of broad relaxation, the hard working muscles are the focus here.
What makes a sports massage
A sports massage works with clearly more pressure than a wellness massage and concentrates on the muscle groups that do the most. Hardened spots are released slowly instead of just being stroked over. Combining it with stretches that bring the muscle back to its full length is common, and that also belongs to the Thai tradition.
That is intense, but never painful. Too much pressure achieves nothing: a muscle that fights the grip will not let go. So tell us any time if it is too strong.
Before or after training?
Both make sense, with different goals. Before a competition the work is shorter and activating, so the muscles are well supplied and mobile, ideally one or two days ahead. After a hard session the massage supports recovery and takes the edge off the soreness. Right after training we recommend giving your body one or two hours first.
Who it suits
Athletes, but not only: many guests come with hardened spots from physical work or with stubborn tension that a gentler massage does not release. If you prefer it calm, the classic massage is the better choice.
What it does
Deep pressure loosens hard working muscles, supports circulation and helps the body recover faster. Many guests report more mobility and find that old hardened spots ease noticeably after several treatments.
Also for two
You can book the sports massage for two. You are then treated at the same time in the couples room, practical after a shared workout. The price shown is for both people together.
Good to know
With acute injuries, fresh strains, inflammation or fever, please wait until everything has settled and ask your doctor if in doubt. Drink plenty of water afterwards and let the day end calmly. Slight muscle soreness the next day is possible and normal after an intense sports massage.
