Privacy policy

As of October 2026. This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, book an appointment or use the contact form. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Booking

For online bookings we record your name, e-mail address, phone number, the chosen massage, date and time, number of people, preferred therapist and your optional note. We use this data to carry out the appointment, confirm it, remind you of it and handle changes and cancellations. We recognise returning guests by their e-mail address, for example so we do not ask for a review more than once.

The data is stored in our database for as long as it is needed to manage appointments. You can request deletion at any time.

Contact form

Your details from the contact form (name, e-mail, optional phone, message) are stored in the protected admin area and forwarded to us by e-mail so we can reply. You receive an automatic acknowledgement.

E-mails

We send booking confirmations, reminders, change confirmations and review requests via the service Resend (Resend Inc., USA). Your e-mail address and the content of the message are transmitted to Resend, which is contractually bound to confidentiality. You can unsubscribe from review requests at any time via the link in the e-mail.

For every e-mail we record whether it was sent and delivered or whether delivery failed, so that we can reach you if something goes wrong. We do not measure whether you open an e-mail or click a link in it.

Map

The contact page includes a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited). It loads when you open the page, which transmits data such as your IP address to Google. Our address and directions are also given as text on this website, without the map.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), the database by Neon Inc. (USA) with servers located in Europe. When you visit the website, technical access data such as IP address, time and page requested are processed in logs to ensure secure operation.

Protection against misuse

So that our forms are not misused for spam and fake bookings, we count bookings, contact requests and requests to the booking calendar per IP address. These counters sit in our database, are not linked to any booking or person, are not evaluated for anything else and are deleted after about one day.

When you submit a booking, the contact form or the login to the admin area, the service Vercel BotID (Vercel Inc., USA) also checks in the background whether the request comes from an ordinary browser and not from an automated program. For this, technical details about the browser and the connection, including the IP address, are transmitted to Vercel. You do not have to click anything.

Cookies and statistics

We set one technically necessary cookie that stores your language choice, and while the preview is active, a cookie for the password protection. For visitor statistics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and does not identify individuals. There is no third party tracking and no advertising cookies.

In the protected admin area of the studio there are also a session cookie for the login and two cookies for language and menu width. Guests are not affected by these.

Third party content

Apart from the map on the contact page, this website loads nothing from outside servers: fonts, images and scripts are served by us, the check script of the bot detection comes from our hosting provider Vercel. There is therefore no connection to Google Fonts or to third party networks.

Your rights

You have the right to information about your personal data, to correction and to deletion. Write to info@bann-thaimassage-basel.ch. We delete your guest data promptly unless a legal retention obligation applies.
